Photography Consent & Release

Permission to Capture‍

I confirm that I give Jason Christie Photography permission to photograph and/or film the dancer/model during the photoshoot day. This includes the creation of still images, video footage, and any derivative works produced as part of the photography process.

Permission to Use Imagery‍

I confirm that I give Jason Christie Photography and Queensland National Ballet School (QNB) permission to use the captured imagery for both non‑commercial and commercial purposes. This includes portfolio display, website galleries, social media, professional promotion, editorial features, marketing, advertising, and print or digital publications. This permission applies worldwide and without time limitation.

Representation & Credit

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, imagery may be presented as depicting an unnamed or imaginary person. Where appropriate and possible, reasonable efforts will be made to credit the dancer/model when imagery is shared publicly.

Alterations & Adaptations

The photographer may edit, retouch, crop, colour‑grade, or artistically adapt the images as part of the creative process. I understand that delivered images must not be altered, edited, filtered, or modified in any form. No changes to this release are valid unless agreed in writing by both parties.

Age Confirmation‍

I confirm that I am over 18 years of age. If the dancer/model is under 18, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian providing consent on their behalf.

Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

To secure a place on the photoshoot day, an upfront booking payment is required. This payment confirms participation on the day and includes one edited image.

Any additional images selected beyond the included image will be invoiced separately. These additional images are delivered once the invoice has been paid, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed to in writing.

2. Registration on the Day

Dancers will be required to register on the day by providing a selfie or headshot for photo‑matching purposes. This image is used solely to match names and faces across the photos taken during the photoshoot and does not involve any online or AI processing.

3. Rush Editing

Turnaround Times

• Proofing gallery: approximately 2 weeks

• Final edited images: approximately 2 weeks after invoice payment

• During high‑volume photoshoot days, delivery times may extend slightly due to the increased number of images being processed.

Optional Rush Turnaround

A rush turnaround is available at $25 per image, with delivery typically within 48–72 hours, offered at the photographer’s discretion.

No other rush delivery options are available.

4. Creative Direction

By booking, the client acknowledges the photographer’s artistic style and grants creative freedom in the creation of the images.

All posing and imagery will be kept age‑appropriate when working with dancers or models under 18.

5. Image Delivery & Formats

Final images are provided in high‑resolution, screen‑ready and print‑ready formats (JPEG or PNG) and delivered via an online gallery.

Raw/unedited files are not provided under any circumstances.

Galleries are delivered digitally with instructions for selection and purchase.

6. Copyright & Ownership

All images created during the photoshoot remain the copyrighted property of Jason Christie Photography.

7. Client Usage License

Clients receive a personal‑use license to share and display the final images for non‑commercial purposes including social media, personal prints, portfolios, projects, and any form of audition or application.

Images may not be sold, licensed, commercially used, or altered without written permission.

Images may also be shared with studios, schools, brands, competitions, or organisations when the purpose is to celebrate or highlight the dancer/model. This permission does not extend to marketing, advertising, or promotional use by those organisations, with the sole exception of Queensland National Ballet School (QNB) and its related entities, who are permitted full commercial and marketing use.

8. Liability & Force Majeure

The photographer is not liable for injuries, property damage, or unforeseen circumstances that occur during the photoshoot. In the event of illness, emergencies, or events outside the photographer’s control, the photoshoot may be rescheduled without penalty. The photographer’s maximum liability is limited to the total amount paid.
